From the Overflow– Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water,” (John 7:37-38).
Jesus has invited us to receive the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit, as simply as sipping fresh water through parched lips. But don’t just wet your mouth! He will pour and keep on pouring until you are filled to the brim. He will continue pouring until you reach complete saturation. Pouring, pouring, pouring until the living water soaks through and pours out of your pores. God wants to lavish you with His goodness until every fiber of your being is overflowing with Him.
Where His presence is manifest, every part of life becomes enriched with the bounty of His goodness. It is from this overflow of God in our lives that we get to make a difference in the world around us. Without that, anything we do is in vain, not to mention exhausting. But living from the overflow, God can do more through us in a moment than we can do on our own in a lifetime. All that is required of you is to thirst, drink, and believe.
